I’m obsessed with podcasts especially when I have a long drive somewhere or if I’m working on something and need a little motivation. Often times I find myself taking the long way on my drive home just so I can listen to a podcasts a little bit longer. I can’t even remember the last time I listened to music in the car. Here are some of my favorite podcasts I’m loving at the moment –
My Favorite Murder – I mentioned this one in this post but I’m obsessed with true crime and love this podcast! I actually just started all the way back at episode 1 so I can listen to all of the murders they talk about. Each episode the two hosts share their favorite murder and read into the details of the case. Some of them are super crazy and I admit, I’ve gotten SUPER paranoid since listening to them but I still love it.
How I Built This – I love hearing all about how businesses got their start and this podcast does a great job of interviewing larger companies like Spanx, Instagram, Rent the Runway(these are just a few of my favorites) about how they got their great idea and what they did to get their company up and running. It’s a really inspiring podcast and I eagerly await each Sunday when a new one posts.
The Skinny Confidential Him & Her – I love Lauryn Evarts blog, The Skinny Confidential and her podcast is just as great. She hosts this with her husband Michael and it’s chock full of beauty, business and wellness. I love the guests they interview and all of Lauryns tips + tricks.
The Wonder Jam – My favorite couple, Allie + Adam Lehman of The Wonder Jam, started a podcast awhile back and it’s one of my favorites to listen to for business growth and self care. They both give some wonderful insight into running a business, have interviewed a lot of artist, business owners + are just overall good people. I love their humor and I’ve actually been on their podcast before! Listen here.
Mama Tried – My mama friend Megan started a motherhood podcast and I’m loving it so far. Our babies are 7 days apart and I feel like Emma and Everly go through every stage together in a sense. Megan has always been really genuine about motherhood and her struggles and I love love love her perspective and honesty. She just started and already I’m nodding my head “YES!!” to everything she says.
Have any podcasts you’re loving lately? Let me know in the comments! x
Just a heads up! With the blog launching last week I’ve been holding onto a lot of photos because I wanted to post them with the new blog design. So you’ll see some blogposts pop up every now and then that were actually photos from a few months back. This is my way of still having a little space to store these photos and our travels. Thanks for understanding!
Many of you know Aaron and I grew up in Reno, Nevada. We moved away over 10 years ago which is still insane to me that a) we’ve been together that long and b) I have been away from my family for a decade. I mean we visit as often as we can but it’s not the same! Especially now that we have Emma. So when it came time to make plans for the holidays it was our year to be in Reno so we agreed to stay for a couple weeks. This would allow us to make sure we got to see everyone and make it a little less stressful trying to run around with Emma. It was a long time to be away from home but I’m glad we did this trip. I love (and miss!) being around family so much(and I guess now, having free childcare, haha) so it was really nice to be able to sneak away for a date here and there and even small things like run errands without the baby. It’s just so convenient! You seriously take that kind of stuff for granted. It’s crazy that this was just 4 months ago. I feel like Emma has grown up so much in just that short time. She was just starting to walk around this time(10 months old!) and if you look at her now she’s basically sprinting everywhere. Even her hair has gotten super long since these photos. In-sane.
Here are some photos from our trip. We were there over Christmas and New Years and even got to spend a day snowboarding(although there sadly wasn’t much snow at the time!) which brought back so many memories.
Emma in that snowsuit KILLS me. I know these photos aren’t exactly of us IN Reno but the great thing about visiting is that Lake Tahoe is a short drive away. Making it really easy to visit!
