An Update

It’s been a wild few weeks but I think it’s about to settle down finally. For starters, we moved again. Luckily this was only into the unit next door. This was our second move in less than 2 months(last move was from the unit upstairs) and I’m happy to say we’re here for good. An opportunity came up where the unit next door became available, it had the same layout except a little bit larger and a lot more amenities that were important to us so we took it. I’m thankful the move has passed now and we can carry on because it’s so hard focusing on my work when all I want to do is organize. I spent the weekend getting settled and hanging this gorgeous calendar up on our wall.

During the move our platform bed fell apart so we took this as an opportunity to get handy and build our own. I’m pretty happy with the results and hoping to paint it soon so it matches the rest of the furniture. The entire process was exhausting though so I don’t know if we’ll ever take on that big of a home project again. Atleast until we buy a house. 😉 I have to say though, I am pretty impressed with our DIY skills lately. I’m still completely in love with our desk. You can view a picture of the bed frame here.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been working out like crazy with my friend who lives in the building. We’ve been getting up at 6am every morning and working out for 1 1/2 hours for 4 days a week. CRAZY. But I think my body is finally on a routine to waking up early so it’s getting easier. I love it and am already seeing results and tiny muscles in my arms. I’m thankful I have someone holding me accountable and it makes it go by faster when you have a buddy to workout with.

Other than that I took on a huge load of freelance work and I’m thankful they’ve all been projects I’m completely in love with. I can’t wait to share more, some are in development so I’m hoping those won’t take much longer to launch. I desperately need to start sharing more of my work with you all. There’s so much more that happens behind the scenes that never see the light of day. I’m so anxious to share. 🙂

  • I think moving is one of THE most stressful things we have to do from time to time, so congrats on getting it done and being there for good! your early morning work out ruotine is inspiring, def keep us updated on progress! i’ve just signed up for a half marathon in may so think ill have to take a leaf out of your book and start getting up at the crack of dawn to train ….

  • an apartment on the floor bellow is empty. And although I’d LOVE one less floor to carry groceries up to, our apartment was fully renovated a little more than a year ago, while the one downstairs looks old and rundown. =/ So, if they don’t renovate it (think they won’t), we’ll stick with the 3rd fl.
Happy for you that the search is over! Hope you are able to sit back and enjoy the new place for a while now! 🙂
