Designer Vaca was this past weekend and I had a great time. It was so great learning from other designers about their journey, their risks and the fears that they have. I feel so humble knowing that we’re all on the same journey but that we all have our own unique story to tell. This year I will aim to push myself to work harder and smarter, take breaks when needed and to take time to soak it all in. I also want to live more in the present when I’m away from my computer. One designer brought up that in 10 years we’re not going to remember how much we were on instagram or twitter, we’re going to remember the valuable time that was spent with our loved ones. Another point I took away from this entire weekend was my fears. What is the worst that could happen? I realized that I stop myself from doing a lot of things because of the fears I have. But honestly, when you say your fears out loud they really sound minuscule compared to bigger problems. I definitely want to push through those fears and I’m anxious to see what will happen in a year from now.
I had an amazing time learning and chatting with everyone and more importantly, building closer relationships with other ladies who understand what we all do. I can’t wait to follow along with everyone and see how we all change. It was fun rooming with Jen, Joanna and Liz and I’m happy to say that Palm Springs wasn’t that hot this year! I also had a great time showing Jen and Liz around San Diego and I may or may not have tried to sway them to move here with our beautiful beaches and sunsets.
Take a peek at my Instagram for more photos from this weekend as well as last years post from 2012.

I am not a designer by trade, but through my passion for travel, I started an art print shop on Society6. It has been so inspiring reading your blog posts about your designs! Thanks so much!
