Minnesota trip 2013

Today was my first day back to work after our trip and I’m still in vacation mode. They always go by too fast don’t they? We had a wonderful time in Minnesota, even after missing our flight and having to fly out the next day. After experiencing Minnesota last winter I can definitely say that summers there are incredible. The weather was absolutely perfect. We made smores in front of a bonfire, watched the sunset out on the lake, experienced a beautiful vow renewal ceremony with Aaron’s Mom and Stepdad, and best of all we were able to relax and soak it in. Aaron is 1 of 4 boys which makes it somewhat difficult to all be in the same place at the same time. Being able to spend this time with Aaron and watch him hangout with his brothers was amazing. I know how hard it is living so far away from family so I’m extremely grateful we were able to make it out there this year to see everyone. I had a blast and I can’t wait until our next trip. I definitely want to go camping next time, I love everything about being outside(except for the spiders and mosquitos!!) Give me a lake + tall trees and I’m set.

I got the job of putting the bouquet and boutonnieres together and loved it! They turned out great and I’m glad I was able to help with the wedding. Thank goodness for Pinterest. 😉

Until next time Minnesota.

  • These photos are beautiful! I used to live in Minneapolis, and I still miss the state sometimes. I’m glad you got to see it in summer (and happy you returned after experiencing the winter!). Thanks so much for sharing!

  • These are such lovely photos. I especially adore the one with the sail boat. My husband and I are soon embarking on an RV journey traveling the country full-time, so I’ll definitely have to check out Minnesota. Thanks for sharing!
