moving along

Aaron and I have started to dedicate Sundays to strictly “us” days. With all the work we’ve been doing it’s hard to coordinate dates and quality time together so doing this has definitely helped. Its my favorite day of the week now. We drove up to Carlsbad last Sunday and spent the morning eating breakfast at a new spot we had never heard of and walked down to the beach afterwards. It was FREEZING which was weird because the weather has been so nice in San Diego. I think we’re a bit spoiled when it comes to weather so I try not to complain too much but it has definitely been layer weather the past few days. After the beach we drove over to The Village and grabbed coffee while looking at the shops which I unfortunately didn’t realize were all closed on Sundays. Even though the shops were all closed we had a lot of fun walking around and talking about everything. It was a short trip but we wanted to go grab Molli and take her to the park before it got too cold out.

We’re month to month at our apartment now so I’ve been taking my time trying to find a new place. It’s been close to impossible finding places that allow medium-sized dogs so we really want to make sure we find a great place that we’ll live in for a long time, I hate moving! All last week while continuing to apartment hunt I kept coming across a nice place but was thinking it was too small. On Sunday, I came across it again and felt like there was a reason it kept popping up(does that ever happen to anyone else?) so we contacted the landlord and actually viewed the apartment 30 minutes later. Needless to say, the apartment is gorgeous and we put in an application. Crossing our fingers we get approved. It’s actually 100 sq ft smaller than our current apartment but it’s loft style so it’s very open and there’s a huge patio PLUS it’s dog friendly! I’m trying not to get my hopes up but it’s so hard. The place really is beautiful. I’ll keep you posted.

In other news, I cut my hair! I’ve realized that each month since I chopped off my long hair I’ve been getting it cut shorter and shorter. I don’t know when I got so lazy about my hair but I loathe dealing with it. So the shorter the better, I’m already thinking up what the next haircut will be. 😉
