Our Bedroom Redesign

Last year I had the opportunity to work with my friend Molly from Almostmakesperfect to redesign our master bedroom. For the longest time I had been wanting to make updates around our bedroom but just couldn’t wrap my head around what to do with it. I had been texting Molly one night and told her I needed major help with our bedroom and the idea that she would e-design it was born. She has amazing taste so I knew whatever she came up with would look beautiful.

I sent her tons of photos, took measurements of the space and sent her ideas for what I liked and disliked. Then she went to work and created a fun little moodboard of pieces she pulled together. I didn’t want to spend a ton so we kept our side tables(and just updated them with new knobs) and were able to style with stuff I already had around the house. The biggest thing was getting rid of that huge bulky bed frame, Aaron and I bought this when we lived in our old apartment and I felt like it just took over this bedroom with how dark the wood was and how high the headboard went(it covered a good chunk of one of our windows so it also blocked some natural light coming in). With an already small bedroom we really needed something light and airy to make it not feel as small. I’m so happy with the one we got.

Overall we’re SO happy we updated our room. We definitely couldn’t have made it look this great without Mollys help. I’m also having her help with the studio design so stay tuned for a future post with pics. And go check out Mollys post where she shared more photos of our room reveal with all of the sources and even a post with the plans and all the before photos!! (yikes)
