Designer pals Jen and Liz fly into San Diego tonight and then tomorrow we’ll head to Palm Springs for the weekend for Designer Vaca. I went last year and left feeling so inspired and really feel like it helped kick start my freelance career with all of the amazing connections I made and everything I learned about running my own business. I cannot wait to hang out with so many talented ladies again and am extra nervous to speak on a panel Friday morning with two other creatives about how I balance holding a full time day job and freelance work. Yea, I could probably say a lot on this topic as I feel like I’m always working. Luckily there will be other Q+A’s and one just happens to be about balancing work and life, which I’m thinking I could use some help with.

Thank you for all of the great feedback on my website launch! I am ecstatic and after pulling an all nighter the night before I can honestly say it felt so good to rest my head on my pillow. I’m in complete vacation mode now and can’t wait to relax poolside with a drink in hand and talk design.
